I am deeply moved by both the imagery and the powerful concept behind Brian McCarty’s War Toys series. Beginning in 2011, McCarty collaborated with children impacted by war who, under the guidance of a trained therapist, created drawings that reflected their experiences. Eight years later, he established a non-profit organization to expand the series' advocacy efforts, launching new programs aimed at making a positive difference in the lives of children worldwide.
