When I first saw Chris Gould's work I wasn't sure what I was looking at - is this a constructed image - a double exposure...? There was something very magical happening, and at the same time, it really spoke to me on what an illusion photography is and how complicated sight is. His choice to work in a monochromatic palette brings the various visual planes together in such a harmonious way. See more of his work on his website.
