Hendrik Paul and quiet noise

There's an interesting duality in Hendrik Paul's photography that drew me in. On one hand we have this incredible energy - yet there is a stillness happening at the same time that speaks to the way he crafts each print. Shot on film and printed in a traditional darkroom on silver gelatin paper, these images feel carefully balanced between light and shadow, black and white, motion and timelessness. Dark Light is his second book - for more of this engaging work please use this link to his website.
