This one comes directly from my living room mantle - and it's kind of a twofer. Bun Boy has a sentimental meaning for me as it was one of the few places to stop when crossing the Mojave Desert in the eastern part of California. In the middle of nowhere, you'd stop for a burger (of course!) and I loved that the fries came with a tiny bottle of ketchup. The second part I love (beyond the beautiful image) is the object itself - a Polaroid mounted in its own pack. Andrew is a cinematographer and photographer - his work takes him to all sorts of interesting locations - and throughout it all, he's been making these small prints of quiet places filled with character and a sense of presence. For more of this wonderful work, see his Instagram account.
